"A lesson I learned, we had a lesson on the sower and the seeds and I had a different insight than I have ever had and I wanna share it with y'all! Okay we have the 4 different places where the seeds fall. What if the seeds weren't principles or doctrines, but were people. And every person (seed) had a testimony of the truthfullness of the gospel... and it was were they landed which determined if that testimony would grow or die. We have them fall on rocks (a ward that isn't friendly or accepting). It falls in the weeds where it is chocked (a ward that backbites)....but when the seed, that person, falls into a ward that is loving, where people open their arms and help nurish it, then they are the good earth, its rich, it has everything this person, this testimony, this seed, needs! Lets all try to help our wards and our families we a ''good patch of earth'' this week! I love you all!"

Lovin' this Work!

A New Companion

I have a new companion; her name is Sorella Amber Pitkin from Clearfield Utah. She is 22, almost 23. She is taller than I am, she has short brown hair. She can play the piano AND I FREAKIN' LOVE HER LIKE CRAZY!!!! She is absolutely wonderful!! I don't think we are going to be together for long because...we just have way too much fun together!!! She is a crack and a half!! She is ready and willing to work hard and has been such a good sport to jump right into the work! I really haven't given her hardly a break and she's right up by my side and totally learning to love these people just like I do! We laugh a lot!! And we talk to everyone around us. She just says hi...and that's all she can do...then I take over...sometimes she says hi and I'm doing something else and I have to whip around so fast! haha, She's great! We are both learning a lot from each other and I hope I’ll be a good trainer for her. We have already seen many miracles!! We found two families and many new and potential investigators! Man, I love this work!! We've had some pretty humbling experiences too! We are thankful for the Lords molding...even when it hurts!

CIAO

Finally, I am posting about Liz! Sorry about the long time delay. I will take a few excerpts from her letters, because they are absolutely saturated with happiness and enthusiasm.

There is sure a lot to see and do on preparation days. The culture, art, and architecture are amazing as well as ancient. Elizabeth loves to explore, and she loves to meet people.

"OKay, okay, so this week was......AMAZING!!!!! I am like bursting at the seems right now! I love being a missionary, I love my companion, I love the ward, I love MIlano, I love Presidente Dunaway, I love this language, I love our investigators, I love doing finding work, I love watching peoples faces as I teach them these truths, I love listening to my companions testimonies, I love the food, i love praying, I love doing scambi, I love parks, I love personal study, I love the book of mormon, i love teaching less actives, I love, i love i love IT ALL!!!! AHHHHH!!!okay so this week i had my first scambi EVER!! (those are exchanges with other sorelle in the milano area) AHHH i LOVED IT!! i learned so much! I learned how to do Strada and parco (contacting people on the street and in the park) it was AWESOME.. "

"We have had sooooo many good lessons this week! Our investigators are progressing and oh, I just can't explain the love I feel for these people! The gospel heals hearts, families, adn lives! But its always the simple things that hold us back....the small things are what are hard to do! Its worth it though...that's why they need your help! They come into the church and think that everyone is perfect there...nope, wrong!! Totally not perfect!! We are all trying to be better though! Let them see that! The spirit is simple and soft, this gospel is plain and beautiful, the Savior lives and loves us, wants us to simply try as best as we can and embrace us in his loving arms!"

"This Sunday I got to watch as our beautiful Sabrina was baptized! Oh, she was radiant!! She honestly glowed for the rest of the night! The spirit was gentle, present, adn sweet! A very special thanks to mom for the ''I am a child of God'' necklace! We gave it to her and she LOVED it! I've never seen anyone put something on faster! I'm excited for you all to see the pictures! She is such an angel! It was also a beautiful experience for her mom Rosa. She was touched to tears! And like my blessing said to bless these peoples lives with music...i'm not hiding my light Dad...I got the priviledge to sing!! :) It was a very neat experience! I sang Piu forza tu dammi (More Holiness Give Me) and afterwards, like usual LOADS OF CIBO...really yummy cibo!! It was probably the most beautiful baptism I have ever seen...Nothing went even a little wrong...now that is a miracle! ps-I'm playing the piano alot here!"

Greetings from Milan!!!

Elizabeth has always enjoyed receiving mail. Now she LOVES it!

"Drinking fountains" brought to you by Italy!! They constantly run. You cork the bottom with your thumb and then it flows from the top! (the only free water in the city.)

"I am learning so much from Sorella Evans and I'm learning a lot about myself too! It is wonderful to have someone by your side, cheering you on! Things go better when we are in tune with one another and with the Spirit!"

"Andrea Bocelli Concert"

What a cultural event! And so fun to be with all these missionaries! We had a great time laughing and even got to teach some people while we were out there."

Well, Elizabeth did make it to Italy.

She is very happy serving there with her companion Sister Evans. This picture was taken on the day Elizabeth arrived in Milan.

Pres. and Sis Dunnaway and Sis. Evans have taken good care of her and have helped her settle into the routine of missionary work.
