Well, Elizabeth did make it to Italy.
She is very happy serving there with her companion Sister Evans. This picture was taken on the day Elizabeth arrived in Milan.

Dear Rasmussen family (and eventually Sorella Liz!)
I wanted to take a quick minute and express my appreciation for your daughter. I teach Italian at the MTC and was lucky enough to teach Sorella Rasmussen's district, which is still my favorite district I've ever taught! And she is a very special person... being in the same room with 13 elders at all times is pretty crazy but she had the best attitude. She brought so much wisdom and spirit to our class discussions and I will never forget her! She is faithful and kind, hard working and devoted. She no doubt is an incredible influence on the people she serves- she had a great influence on us at the MTC! Thanks for helping her become the person that she is because now she is serving with all her heart in the country I love among the people I adore. Grazie!!
